For those who like a real adventure and greatly appreciate fresh and fabulous food, our “Catch it, Cook it” experience is an opportunity not to be missed. Join us for a fishing trip from Swanage along the Jurassic coastline, learning the basics for targeting summer species, and for a hands on learning experience in how to prepare and cook your catch.
Swanage Sea Fishing is honoured to be working alongside Food, Fire & Knives again, in order to offer this exciting and memorable event for the second year in a row. Our location on the Jurassic coast makes this an ideal day out for those on holiday, or for any Dorset day trippers!
The boats will depart Swanage Pier at 8am, and the morning will be spent fishing along the coastline. Not only does this part of the world offer a plentiful variety of fish for the table, the lime stone cliffs provide the habitats for numerous sea birds including guillemots, razor bills, puffins and peregrine falcons. After a picnic lunch on board, the afternoon will see you at Brenscombe Outdoor Centre. Here, Lee Moreton will give an excellent lesson into how to prepare and cook your catch. Lee is passionate about food, fishing, fire and pretty much everything outdoors! The day will conclude at at 6pm.
Our spaces are limited to 20 people across two boats, so we would advise to book now to avoid disappointment.
The total cost is £115 per person, which includes all tackle & bait, a picnic lunch on board, tea & coffee, parking facilities (at Brenscombe only) demonstrations, and to take home any fish caught on the day (size and species restrictions apply)
In order to secure your place, we require a non-refundable £30 deposit per person.
